About Ana Santana

Ana Santana is a first-generation immigrant who arrived in Moncton from the Dominican Republic in 2015 with her husband and two small daughters. She studied Marketing at NBCC and then moved on to Mount Allison University to take specific courses in Political Science and Economics.

She has volunteered and worked in the not-for-profit sector, advocates for access to education for children, and is vigilant of efficient public service intake and delivery for all who reside in New Brunswick.

She is passionate about healthcare, education, immigration, and maintaining our province's balance in bilingualism. Through her work, she has significantly contributed to the increase of newcomer children registered in Francophone Schools and led initiatives to eliminate unwritten policies and practices that barred access to education for children. Ana is an active member of the Latin American community in the province and works towards creating robust social safety nets and bolstering dynamic community inclusion.

Ana believes in leveraging our diversity as a key strength in our communities and all levels of government for the well-being of New Brunswick and that only together can we create a better right now and build a brighter future for all the people of New Brunswick. Together.
