Taking Charge of Our Future

The Green Party will work with communities to advance the public interest, rather than submit to corporate agendas, such the 2014 forestry deal. This is our province and we need to be in the drivers' seat. We will shake off the corporate stranglehold on our society, our politics, and our media that both the Liberals and Conservatives have enabled. Surrendering to a future that primarily benefits corporate interests is unfair and unsustainable. We just cannot afford it. It's time we take charge of our future.

Central to this vision is the role citizens will play in getting us there. Active and meaningful participation in putting our province on a sustainable path is the cornerstone of reclaiming our future. However, this requires access to a free press. The Green Party will end the near monopoly over our newspapers.
