    SAINT JOHN - Today in Saint John, Green Party Deputy Leader Megan Mitton announced the Party’s plan for improving women’s and gender diverse healthcare in New Brunswick. 

    “Women’s and gender diverse healthcare services have been ignored by successive governments, with no plan to ensure that women have access to the unique care that they need, when they need it,” stated Mitton. “This goes from family planning to perinatal healthcare, while pregnant and after giving birth, to menopause.”

  • Green Party Announces Plan to Solve Primary Healthcare Crisis

    FREDERICTON - This morning, Green Party leader David Coon announced his plan to invest $380 million annually to fix the primary healthcare system in New Brunswick.

    “Everyone should have a right to access a primary healthcare team in their community,” said Coon. “There is no doubt that fixing this broken system will be a challenge and will require a generational investment, but I’m up to the task of getting it done.  We will eliminate waiting lists and we will bring our nurses home.”

  • Access to Healthcare Must be a Right

    FREDERICTON – In light of NB Health Council data that found that 20% of New Brunswickers do not have access to a permanent primary healthcare provider and two thirds of those who do can’t get an appointment within five days, Green Party Leader David Coon says that it’s time for New Brunswick to create the legal right to a primary healthcare team for all New Brunswickers in their community.
