For six years Premier Higgs has failed to fix our healthcare system. You are waiting longer for care and the waiting list for a family doctor has gone up to over 80,000.
Make no mistake, under his leadership, our healthcare system has gotten worse. Emergency rooms are routinely closed and patients struggle to access primary care. Healthcare is simply not there when you need it.
Real leadership means investments in healthcare to make sure it is there when you need it. As a start, EVERYONE should have access to a primary care team in their community. Healthcare should be a right, not a privilege.
Greens will make the investments necessary to open collaborative care clinics and community health centres to make this a reality.
