Green Party Launches 2024 Election Campaign
September 18, 2024
FREDERICTON - The Green Party of New Brunswick held a rally at the Delta Hotel in Fredericton today to kickoff the 2024 “Green is the Colour of Change” election campaign.
“In speaking with people around the province this summer, I have heard time and time again how fed up they are with the two old parties kicking problems in healthcare, housing and climate down the road” said Coon. “I am here to commit that as Greens, we will have your back and we will implement the solutions that are already at hand to fix the problems New Brunswick is facing.”
Coon, and his deputy leaders Megan Mitton and Kevin Arseneau unveiled the Greens’ slate of election candidates.
“I am proud to have such an amazing and diverse slate of candidates who have so much to offer to serve their constituents and represent them in the Legislative Assembly,” said Coon. “Leadership matters in this election and our candidates are community leaders. I know they will work hard every day to earn the trust of voters in their ridings.”
“I am proud to say New Brunswickers will see themselves reflected in our slate of candidates: women and men in equal numbers, indigenous people, Acadians and anglophones, immigrants, and members of the LGBTQ+ community,” said Coon.
Please see attached for our current slate of candidates. Candidates have been named in 44 of 49 ridings, with the other five candidates to be named before the October 1 deadline.
