Green Caucus updates critic roles for 2nd session of 60th Legislature
FREDERICTON – As MLAs return next week for the second session of the 60th Legislative Assembly, Green Party leader and MLA for Fredericton South David Coon has announced updated critic roles for himself and fellow Green Caucus MLAs Kevin Arseneau (MLA for Kent North) and Megan Mitton (MLA for Memramcook-Tantramar).
“Our caucus is eager to get back to work in the Legislative Assembly to push for practical solutions to New Brunswick’s most pressing challenges,” said Coon. “Given the multiple crises that New Brunswick faces in affordability, housing, healthcare and climate change, there is lots of work to be done.”
Education, along with Transportation and Infrastructure, will be added to Kevin Arseneau’s critic roles. Megan Mitton will take on Housing and Post-secondary Education, Training and Labour. David Coon adds the Justice file to his critic roles.
“New Brunswickers can count on Kevin, Megan and I to put the common good at the heart of all the decisions we make,” said Coon. “And we will continue to hold Premier Higgs to account in our role on the opposition benches.”
