A message from Genevieve

I’m coming up on two big milestones.  At the beginning of April, it will be two years since I started this job.  And this month, I turn 50!  Both of these milestones invite reflection and I feel moved to tell you this:  I am deeply grateful that at this point in my life, I get to do work that aligns so closely with my values, alongside people who care deeply about building a better New Brunswick.

Every day, I’m reminded that the Green movement isn’t just about policy.  It’s about community. It’s about showing up for one another, protecting what we love, and believing that politics can still be rooted in integrity, courage and hope. That’s not something I take for granted.

I don’t want presents for my birthday. I do not need more things. What I do want is this: a future where my nieces, and the next generation, will grow up in a healthy environment with strong public services, vibrant communities and real opportunities.

If you feel so inclined to help me mark these milestones, I would be honoured if you directed that generosity toward strengthening our movement. A contribution to our work helps us organize, communicate and advocate for the kind of future we all want to see.  The staff have kindly put together a birthday themed fundraiser in my honour and you can find the details below.

Thank you for being part of this journey with me.  It is a true joy to do this work with all the amazing folks I have met on this adventure.  I look forward to what we will accomplish.  Together.
