About Diani Blanco

Born in the Dominican Republic and moving to Canada at the age of 10, Diani Blanco struggled to find her place. She faced bullying at school due to her skin colour and endured physical and mental abuse at home, leading to suicidal thoughts at a young age. At 15, she was placed permanently in the foster care system and found herself in an abusive relationship.

Firmly believing that everything happened for a reason she was determined to turn her life around and help others.

At 23, Diani founded Blanco SpeakersBureau, a non-profit organization committed to helping teenagers experiencing dating abuse. She traveled to high schools across New Brunswick as an inspirational speaker, sharing her story to educate and empower teens to speak out.

Diani is a proud mother of two and has built an impressive career, collaborating with numerous organizations. She has served as a youth worker at Youth Impact Jeunesse, a project manager at Beausejour Family Crisis Center (WAGE), and an Intercultural Community Coordinator at the Multicultural Council of New Brunswick. Additionally, Diani is a dedicated youth counselor, an inspirational speaker, and a passionate advocate against dating abuse. She also volunteers her time with Victim Services and co-founded Queens of Heart, a charity supporting parents struggling with food insecurity in the Greater Moncton area since the COVID-19 pandemic, making a significant impact in her community.

With a decade of public speaking experience and her role as the host of "Real with Diani Blanco," she comprehends the profound influence of our voices. She is committed to making a significant impact on the lives of those who need it most.

Diani believes that only together can we make a difference, and no matter how painful the journey, it is essential to always believe in oneself.

"It is only in darkness that we can see the light." Diani Blanco
