Green - The Colour of Change
Message from Green Party Leader David Coon
We are at a turning point in the history of our province. We can move forward, with a government that respects everyone and is committed to providing good government. Under my leadership, the government would actually take the actions needed to fix our healthcare system, to provide seniors with the care they deserve, to support teachers to ensure all children achieve their full potential, and to protect everyone from the consequences of a rapidly warming planet.
Or we can slide backwards as the rest of the world moves forward. Conservative and Liberal governments have taken turns creating the multiple crises we face in our province. That’s what happens when those in power are fixated on their party’s fortunes for the next election, rather than on the needs of people. That’s what happens when Premiers are driven by their egos, not by service for the good of all. That’s what happens when governments stop listening to the people they are elected to serve.
To move forward, we need the kind of leadership I will provide - a steady hand on the wheel and a voice for reason. We need the kind of MLAs that your Green candidates will be - MLAs that are committed to listening, to service, and to advocating for your communities in the Legislative Assembly.
In this election, Green is the Colour of Change. I believe the practical solutions outlined in this platform will bring change for the better. To see these solutions implemented will take the leadership I can provide, bringing people together to build the New Brunswick we want. It all depends on your vote. I am asking you to trust me and my candidates with your vote so we can move forward together.
