The Provincial Council invites you to join your fellow members at our 2020 Annual General Meeting (AGM) on Sunday June 7, 2020, from 1pm to 3:30pm.  

There is no fee to attend our Online AGM. 
Deadline for registration is June 4th at 5pm.

This year the AGM will be organized in a special way to adhere to our by-laws and the restrictions imposed by the COVID-19 pandemic.  The meeting will be held online (with a phone in option) to avoid risks of infection.  As this is our first attempt at holding an AGM online we also plan to reduce the agenda to a minimum. That means we will be limited to reports from party officers and the running of Provincial Council elections.  Member motions and policy amendments will be deferred to a later date.

To hold the AGM prior to the summer we are also calling a Special Meeting of Members to ask members to waive the 90 days’ notice requirement for an AGM (By-law 4.1.3).

Here is the proposed schedule for Sunday June 7:

1pm:   

- Call to order Special Meeting of Members (online)
- Ask members to approve the motion that: "By-law 4.1.3 be set aside for the year 2020".
- Ask members to call for the 2020 AGM to start immediately following the meeting.
- Adjourn
- Call to order AGM (online)    
- Agenda will be sent upon your registration

Simultaneous French/English translation will be provided for the AGM and the SMM. Provincial Council elections will also take place online as part of our AGM using an online voting software. 

*To be able to participate, you must have been a member for at least 14 days, i.e. since Sunday May 24th; and you must have registered for the AGM and SMM before June 4^th at 5pm to allow us time to verify membership status. You can sign up to be a member by following this link Become a member.

Registration

To register for the SMM and AGM, you must complete the Zoom registration form. If you don’t have access to internet, you can register by calling us at 506-447-8499 and leaving a message with your name and phone number. We will get back to you to complete your registration.

To ensure all interested members can participate efficiently in our meetings, a « practice » meeting will be offered on Saturday June 6th at 11am for everyone to test their computer or phone settings and provide guidance in using all of the Zoom software features. 

Provincial Council Elections: Want to be more involved with the governance of your political party?

Elections will be held during our 2020 Online AGM, on June 7th, for the following positions on the Provincial Council:

2-year terms:

-Vice-Presidency Anglophone
-Treasurer
-Youth representative (under 25)
-Four (4) member at large positions

1-year term:

-Two (2) member at large positions
-Chairperson of the Policy Working Group
