Penobsquis - Getting Justice
Written by Greta Doucet Wednesday, 15 February 2012 23:08
I've talked to the people in Penobsquis who have been affected by the subsidence that is damaging their property and the water problems that now costs them money. It is pure hell what those folks are going through and it is totally unacceptable.
I would support with my last breath the compensation of folks from Penobsquis. The Green Party stands by me on this. I feel for folks who cannot trust anymore their government. It is a very sad state of affairs and absolutely needs to change.

We must empower N.B.'s many communities
By Jack MacDougall
I have just returned from travelling to several communities in the northern part of the province. It has been a pretty depressing experience.
As I drove into the Miramichi, the gigantic former paper mill looks like a 20-tonne bomb hit the place. He is starting to walk, jabber and laugh. It may well have been one of the happiest years of my life thus far.

In the upcoming election, the people of New Brunswick will have at least one new choice on their ballots, the Green Party of New Brunswick.
I must first explain my own transition to the Green message. I had a good career with the Liberals for many years. I was involved in several campaigns, including all of Premier Frank McKenna's, Clyde Wells of Newfoundland's first campaign and several of Prime Minister Jean Chrétien's. I believed that I would always be a Liberal, but eventually had my fill of politics and searched for a new direction in life. I returned to university to qualify to become a teacher.
Toll Highways

For years New Brunswick suffered with the worst section of Trans Canada Highway in the country. There were regular horrific accidents claiming dozens of lives and injuries. Truckers dreaded travelling not only to New Brunswick but to Nova Scotia, Newfoundland and Prince Edward Island as they would have to first travel through New Brunswick to get to these provinces.
